Members met other Mercedes clubs at the Tempelhof airport in Berlin for the biggest ever gathering of Mercedes-Benz cars. The UK Club’s rally programme included assistance in getting to and from Berlin plus additional, exclusive activities. More >>

At the invitation of Mercedes-Benz World near Weybridge in Surrey, Club Members gathered to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Carl Benz’s Patent Motorwagen on June 19. They were able to enjoy AMG and off-road rides and demonstrations as well as taking their own cars on the track. Several Members also took part in the adjacent Brooklands Museum’s Double 12 ‘Driving Concours’ over the whole weekend. More >>

The Berlin event will form part of the Mercedes-Benz Museum’s celebration of ‘125 Years of the Automobile’, held in co-operation with all the official Mercedes-Benz brand clubs. It will centre on the Berlin-Tempelhof airport and its highlight will be a world record attempt – ‘The biggest Mercedes-Benz meeting ever’ – with the objective of getting an entry in the Guinness Book of Records. The Mercedes-Benz Club had a very busy stand at the NEC Classic Motor Show over the weekend of November 12-14 this year, featuring sports cars, from the original Gullwing right through to its modern counterpart the SLS. The display also included a rally- prepared SLC and a Ponton saloon racer fresh from the Goodwood Revival. The Club is entirely independent of the company but enjoys a strong relationship with it, as shown by MBUK PR manager Rob Halloway, a Club Member, being presented with the Scott-Moncrieff Trophy (the Club's premier award) in recognition of his help and support for the Club.
